I'm guessing just about everybody who cares about honky tonk music, chicken fried steak, or two-steppin' has written about Austin's Broken Spoke. So why not us?
While Texas is a big state, if you're there at all, a pilgrimage to the Spoke has got to be one one of your stops. There's plenty of what dance halls are supposed to have, and that's dancing. Old folks and young ones out on the floor, two-stepping to some of the best honky tonk music in Texas. They've got a fancy website, with a lot of history, videos, pictures, and a calendar that shows why there's never a bad night to be there.
